The storage and RAM volumes of the Vision Pro are known

The Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset has 16 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage , according to data published by Apple. Developers also spotted another mention in the source code of the Xcode software, mentioning the case of a version with 1 TB of disk space. But this remains to be confirmed: this could only be a test device, for the Apple company's engineers.

Xcode is a program dedicated precisely to publishers, so that they can design their apps for Apple operating systems, and this in the best possible conditions offered by the company. Today, it weighs nearly three thousand billion dollars on the Wall Street stock exchange, the largest capitalization on the planet, just ahead of Microsoft. But the Redmond giant could well have something to say about it …

A real “space computer”

This new information on the Vision Pro technical sheet is reminiscent of its nickname “ space computer ”, regularly highlighted by Apple in its announcements and promotional campaigns. For comparison, a MacBook Pro M3 only offers 8 GB of RAM today! The same goes for the fifteen-inch MacBook Air, to name just these two models.

As a reminder, the rest of the technical characteristics give pride of place to two 4K screens from Sony for virtual reality. The latter are transparent, and, thanks to the EyeSight functionality , reveal the user's gaze when they decide. A good way to follow a conversation without leaving the mount.

The Vision Pro's battery, for its part, can last up to two hours or a little more depending on energy consumption. The information has just been confirmed by the manufacturer, here too.

How to buy the Vision Pro?

The Vision Pro is only available in the United States for launch. Pre-orders begin no later than January 19, and buyers will be able to obtain the product thereafter, from Friday February 2. But beware of the price: you will have to pay the tidy sum of no less than 3,499 dollars to afford this (large) jewel. The price in euros is not known for the moment, the same goes for the release date for the French market.
